As soon as I get home from this extended business trip I find myself on, I plan on starting work restoring my Turbo Cup replica back closer to how the factory would have intended it. I plan on documenting everything here. One of the first things I'm going to do is strip it down and paint it, and I am like my wife picking out tile for the bathroom -- I can't decide on a damn color. I keep coming back to the color of the 911 Sport Classic. I want something retro, a nod to the '70s and '80s. Not sure what the color code is, but it's gorgeous. I'd probably keep the subtle racing stripes down the middle. Then I saw this the other day. A little "wild" but a great looking color... So first thing is paint. Next thing will be the RS style carpet, a little lightweight sound deadening, but also with some bare interior for a nice offset of color.
End goal? A trackable street car vice the full up race car it is now. Mechanically, the previous owner built a 944 Turbo Cup to stock specs, down to the magnesium intake manifold. I am not going to modify the engine at all, the only thing I will do is tone-down the exhaust (completely open). Would love color inputs! Comment below! Thanks, Matt

I've been a fan of non-metallic greys and dark blues as of late.. Porsche has that ceramic-like off-white that's on the light side and Ford has the focus RS/F150 dark grey... so many options!! Looking forward to seeing what you choose!
